2 For there were that said, We, our sons and our daughters are many, therefore we take up [a]corn, that we may eat and live.
3 And there were that said, We must gage our lands, and our vineyards, and our houses, and take up corn for the famine.
4 There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king’s [b]tribute upon our lands and our vineyards.
